Mini Chicken burgers

The days begin to heat up and we want to eat something light and, at the same time, tasty without spending much time in the kitchen? I had minced chicken in the fridge and so I thought of making mini hamburgers with the ingredients I had at home: salted capers and basil. Delicious!

Preparation: 20 minutes

Ingredients for 3 servings 

  • 300 gr ground chicken or turkey
  • 3 table spoons od capers in salt
  • basils
  • grated bio lemon zest
  • extra virgin olive oil (for an excellent oil tap here)

Method

Rinse the capers to remove the external salt, and rinse the basil leaves. With a crescent, chop them together.

In a bowl, gather the minced chicken, the lemon peel and the chopped capers. Mix thoroughly making sure that the mince is well distributed in the meat. Do not add salt because the capers are already salty!

With your hands create balls the size of a lemon and gently mash them.

Grease a non-stick pan with a drizzle of oil and put it on a medium heat. When it is hot, place the mini hamburgers and cook them, turning them often. Chicken burgers need to be cooked well, so when you turn them, mash them gently. It will take about 10 minutes.

Serve hot with sliced ​​tomato or mixed salad.
